Worth the Wait

It's official. The rock (good job, dear) is on my finger. The church is booked. And the world now knows: I am marrying the man I've been waiting for my whole life. And he was so worth the wait.

A few days ago this very man got down on one knee and told me he would be honored to call me his wife. Little does he know, I am the honored one. I think I'll hold on to that secret for a little bit longer.

I think by this point, I have called, emailed, texted or IMed most people. If you're finding out for the first time from here, I do love you - it's just all been a whirlwind!

130 days to go. :D

Wow, huge congrats. I was unaware that you were even dating, but then again, why would I know that? So does he have a name? Or do you always just call him "the man I've been waiting for my whole life?"

Thanks for making me the exception, E-dawg. Becky told me she informed you who he was. We were both pretty anxious to see the look on your face at the wedding (when I showed you the ring), but alas I thought you might be perusing the blogs before then.

You might remember that I caught the bouquet at your wedding. Three more bouquets and six years later, I guess it finally worked. Okay, I won't expect you to break your monastic silence again by responding. See you tomorrow!

Congratulations to you both! This has been a whirlwind of an exciting year for couples!

In an unrelated comment, I just made the connection between "Pepper" from your blog awhile back and the oddly familiar "Hurley" I met at Shakespeare. Tooooo funny. OK, I know I'm terrible.
